Benjamin Edwards is a wedding, portrait, and humanitarian photographer based out of Bend, Oregon. Benjamin is co-founder of the multimedia non-profit Emote360 and has enjoyed storytelling for various humanitarian organizations throughout fifteen countries.
Course outline Day 1 :
Episode 1
An introduction to the course "Thriving In The Box."
*You'll see sample images and video, a bit of background on Benjamin, and the importance of asking "why." WHY is probably the most overlooked word in our industry and should go hand in hand with "how-to."
* We'll look at natural light vs. manufactured light and the pro's and con's of each.
*We'll examine the different options for off camera light: hot-lights, cool lights (led), and speedlights.
Episode 2
*A Constant light studio shoot with a bride
*Showcase different set-ups, styles, WYSIWYG
*Working with backgrounds
Episode 3
*Easy way to set up triggers/receivers, how high speed sync works (really try to simplify with "curtain" demo)
*Speedlight studio shoot with model (senior or bride?)
*(1) light set-up, (2) light setup
Episode 4
*Stuck in an ugly box? This is how you thrive...
*Different background options to bring to a wedding "getting ready" room that is just the...worst...ever... place to make images.
* Portable backgrounds, wallpaper Vflats, etc...
*Speedlight studio shoot with groomsmen
Course outline Day 2:
Episode 1
*Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee
*Benjamin gives short recap of what was covered in day 1, as well as takes a look at the finished images from the studio sessions, including the composite of the groomsmen shot.
*Next up, introduction to FUSION! I'll talk about the advantages of adding fusion to your packages as well and marketing.
*Camera settings, switching back and forth between stills and video and walk through camera movement.
Episode 2
* Studio session with senior model shooting fusion! Incorporate light placement, camera movement.
Episode 3
*Post production and workflow for fusion. Lightroom 5, presets, Animoto, FotoMagico, PSCC.
Episode 4
*Continuation of production and workflow showcase final product, Q and A, wrap up. |
